Chef Mary Stodola
Social Media Content Creation and Management
I worked alongside Chef Mary Stodola to bring her personality, expertise, and culinary art to life through social media. I helped develop content ideas, film and edit videos, and manage her social presence.
Arroz con Pollo
This was older footage I had recorded before experimenting with having multiple takes for each ingredient. It played a big part in why I started doing that because you can tell when the food is cooking in the pot, it becomes very distorted due to the microphone trying to isolate the voice. Other than that, I like how this video came out in terms of edits and pacing. The quick shots of the chicken are what i want to shoot for more going forward when it comes to the pacing.

Southwest Pasta Salad
For this project, I was focused on getting better camera angles and creating a more immersive video to display Chef Mary and her dish.

Bluegrass Salad
In this post, I was focused on the way we shot the video. I wanted to approach it in a way that would make the editing process a little easier to follow, without sorting through a bunch of footage. The way I went about it was getting footage of Chef Mary talking about each ingredient individually, then getting footage of her putting each ingredient in one by one. This made it to where there wasn’t too much background noise setting down the dishes, and the audio felt more engaging because she was focused just on talking instead of talking while putting the dish together, which usually causes pauses in speech.
